David R. Harada-Stone

DAVID R. HARADA-STONE was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1978. He received a B.A. in journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1986 and worked as a radio and newspaper reporter and editor on Oahu and the Big Island before attending the William S. Richardson School of Law, where he was elected Editor of the University of Hawaii Law Review.

After graduating from law school in 1994, Mr. Harada-Stone served as a law clerk to Senior United States District Court Judge Samuel P. King. He was admitted to the Hawaii Bar in 1994 and the California Bar in 1998. From 1996 to 2000, he worked as an associate with the Honolulu law firm of McCorriston Miho Miller Mukai and later with Tom Petrus & Miller before returning to his home on the Big Island. From 2000 to 2008, he worked in a general litigation practice in Kamuela, Hawaii.

Mr. Harada-Stone rejoined Tom Petrus & Miller in July 2008. He continues to live on the Big Island with his wife and two teenage daughters, but practices law statewide. His areas of emphasis include insurance coverage and insurance bad faith defense.
