Ashley R. Shibuya

ASHLEY R. SHIBUYA has joined the firm as an associate, effective September 21, 2015.

Ms. Shibuya was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Henry J. Kaiser High School on Oahu. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she earned a Bachelorís degree in English. Ms. Shibuya continued her education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and obtained a Masterís degree in English, with a concentration in Composition and Rhetoric.

In 2014, Ms. Shibuya earned her law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii, where she graduated cum laude. During law school, Ms. Shibuya was awarded the highest grade in her Second Year Seminar section and was awarded Best Overall Second Year Seminar Paper Award for her paper, which was published in the University of Hawaii Law Review. Ms. Shibuya was also a member of the law review and served as a Casenote Editor.

Following law school, Ms. Shibuya clerked for the Honorable Edwin C. Nacino of the First Circuit, State of Hawaii. As a law clerk, Ms. Shibuya provided research and analytical support, working closely with Judge Nacino on all matters before him.

Ms. Shibuya joins Tom Petrus & Miller, LLLC as an associate. She is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all state courts in the State of Hawaii and the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.
